Wake Up!

You're snoozing through the alarm

You're still sitting on the fence...

You're still standing on the sidelines

While the planet burns...

But what else can we do?

So we do nothing...

Well congratulations!

That's exactly what they want us to do...

...because that's how they make their money

Time to wake up!

Time to push back

Time to build a world we can all live in.

Time to find a better world

Who am I?

I'mGramskii

I spent 30 years in advertising in the UK & US selling you stuff you didn't need. Then I saw the light or, more accurately, I saw the rising sea levels, the flames, the floods, the accelerating climate chaos.

And I thought I'd better try to do something about it.

So now I'm using my skills to sell a different kind of product:

A BEAUTIFUL, HABITABLE PLANET.

Climate change is a complex mix of science, economics, and human nature twisted into a confusing and chaotic Knot.

Our current system doesn't want us to untangle it because, when you pull the threads apart everything becomes clearer.

I wrote a book to cut through that knot - and provide a springboard for action

If we work together, we CAN stop Climate Change!

What's Inside

The Dragon & The Hummingbird is carefully crafted to educate and inspire 'fence sitters'.

  • It's a 270-page entertaining satire about Capitalism, Climate Change and the power of the individual

  • It took me 2½ years to write

  • A story with wit, heart and substance that's deceptively deep!

  • Using evidence-based climate science explained through real-world examples and case studies.

  • And beautiful illustrations and infographics.

  • Ultimately it inspires readers to take actionable steps to correct the current imbalance between Capitalism and the Environment

  • Independent, ethical, and grassroots

  • Heavily critical of Amazon and other corporations

CLIMATE MURMURATION

"Finally, a book that bridges the gap between scientific facts and emotional understanding. Perfect for reaching those who need to hear this message." Loren, Restaurant Owner

“Who wants to read about the inconvenient truth? I must admit, I didn’t. But fear not! Graham Hall has found the sweet spot. The Dragon and the Hummingbird sits at the intersection of a fascinating Venn diagram, where history, data, humour and hope converge. Because climate change issues are complex, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Reading this book reawakened my interest. I feel alert to the politics of greed and failures of capitalism (and for someone who tunes out the news this is quite an achievement). Packed with information, delightfully accessible and never preachy, this is a book for everyone. Read it, feel inspired, take action.” Stephen, Photographer

"I can't remember when I last read a book from cover to metaphorical cover - with a small break for sleep before the final chapter. A super exposition, with a nice fairytale to set off with. A massive Satyagraha (spelling?) is required, and if this helps to stimulate it, good on you!"

Roderick, Retired Advertising Executive

"I’m halfway through your book. I think it's fascinating and well written. Love the director/actor concept. I’m learning some new stuff, bringing clarity to things I was not fully familiar with. As someone who also writes, I know how much work you have put into it. Massive congratulations on such an amazing achievement.

Arnie, Landscape Gardener

I read this book pretty much straight away because I was interested in what it had to say. It did an admirable job of distilling the complexity of the situation and how we got here. I was impressed by the historical context which I felt added to people’s (my) sum of knowledge and made the current crisis more understandable, in a depressingly inevitable sort of way. The conversation between two/three people was a great creative device to get your points across, otherwise it might have been a dry study paper and no one needs another of those.

Gerry, Marketing Consultant

Highly enjoyable. It makes the political bit understandable without being patronising. Best of all, while it don't flinch away from the horror of a possible climate apocalypse, it plants credible seeds of hope and made me take stock of the small things I can do, and the incremental changes I might be able to make.

Nicola, Business Consultant and Author

What readers are saying

"I very much enjoyed this easy to read, and yet profound, book. It does for Climate Change what Sophie's World did for Philosophy. Accessible and often humorous, yet it provides a deep message on the environment. Fundamentally, it answers two questions: How did we got into this mess and how do we get out of it. I like the focus on personal responsibility and personal action. I learnt a lot. It also looks very nice!"

Sandra, Researcher

"Put aside your daily priorities for a while and read Gramskii's new book 'The Dragon & the Hummingbird'. So much more interesting than reality TV. THIS IS THE REAL THING. It's an entertaining yet foreboding tale about why our world is in its current precarious state; sprinkled with humour, coupled with scientific and historical references. It feels like a book within a film within a film. It moves along at a cinematic pace to provide an explanation of how capitalism and greed is the lumbering beast that has created inequality, financial disaster and climate change. It's time to do something about it before it's too late. We can all help - Find out how by reading this inspirational book. It's free, so what have you got to lose? (Apart from your planet).

"One day, A great fire swept through the rainforest. All the animals fled except a tiny hummingbird that flew toward the flames with water in her beak.

"What are you doing?" the others asked. "You’re too small and the fire is too big. You can’t change anything."

Without stopping, the hummingbird replied: "I'm doing what I can."

Sure, but what difference can one little hummingbird make?

Fairy tales do not tell children that dragons exist. Children already know this. Fairy tales tell children that dragons can be killed.
