Why free?

If it's free, where's the catch?

Rage Against the Bezos Machine

Here's a little challenge: What if I told you there was an alternative to Amazon? You know, little Jeffrey Bezos and his crappy plan to monopolise creativity and own the publishing world.

And what if I told you the books on this Anti-Amazon site could be downloaded for free, with no obligation?

Would you be interested or would you still be asking 'Where's the catch?'

Because anything that's given away for free isn't going to be very good is it? Otherwise, why bother?

Well, The Dragon & the Hummingbird

is a 316-page book about climate change and capitalism with great reviews. It's packed with an engaging story, original illustrations and bite-sized facts and if you still wonder if it's worth reading, this is what real people say about it: Reader Reviews

So why give it away?

Life doesn’t need to be all about money. Open-source software is free. You can go on Wikipedia and nobody will charge you. So think about this book as if was Wikipedia or open-Source software for your brain.

The Hummingbird Effect

In the book, there’s a story about a forest fire. While the other animals flee, a tiny hummingbird flies back and forth to the river, carrying single drops of water in its beak.

"What difference can you make?" the animals mock.

The hummingbird replies, "I am doing what I can."

I wrote this book to inspire hummingbirds. A single bird changes very little, but a flock of billions can change everything

But I don't have time for books - even if they're free!

I get it. But downlaod it anyway. Maybe one day you'll find ten minutes to take a look. And maybe then you'll get hooked and read it in 3 days - it's been done before! And, more than anything you might think it's worth sharing - because the more hummingbirds in the world the better.

And, if nothing else, it'll piss Bezos off.

What Next?

Download the PDF or get the paperback. There is no downside. Just read it and pass it on. In fact, be a hummingbird and share the hell out of it!

If you want, you can also "Buy Me a Coffee" as a thank-you. That would be very nice of you and I’d be very grateful, but there no pressure. Do what feels right.

And if you want to leave me a note, that would be lovely too.

I’m just thrilled you’re here.

Many thanks,

Gramskii
